February 27, 2024: MECOTEC, °CRYOScience, and CryoBuilt are proud to announce that we are launching a collaborative international endeavor to elevate knowledge, understanding, and standards around cryotherapy called The Cryo Chamber Manufacturers Initiative, or The CCM Initiative.

The initiative reflects a growing public awareness about the benefits of cold therapy in general and an increasing number of cold therapy methods available. This positive growth is bringing about greater interest in cryotherapy and in cryotherapy best practices.

“As the leaders in cryo chamber manufacturing, we have a responsibility to help mature our industry by bringing clarity, definition, and evidence around cryotherapy standards,” said Enrico Klauer, CEO of MECOTEC.

“To start, this year we will focus on information,” said Marcus Wilson, CEO of CryoBuilt. “That means taking our collective knowledge of cryotherapy and making it available to the wider public online to the benefit of everyone interested in cryotherapy.”

“The CCM Initiative is one piece of a bigger puzzle for strengthening the whole industry as it grows,” said Omar, CEO of CryoScience. “We want people to be equipped with the knowledge of how to experience the full benefits of cryotherapy, which will fortify the reputation of our industry while supporting human well-being at a wider scale.”

The CCM Initiative will address topics such as cryotherapy methods, quality and safety, and existing scientific research. While still in the initial phase, the initiative will seek to engage a broad spectrum of stakeholders as it takes shape.

Congratulations at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates MECOTEC GmbH from Bitterfeld-Wolfen on being awarded the TOP 100 seal. The award ceremony as part of the summit took place on June 23 in Augsburg for all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist accompanies the innovation competition, which is being held for the 30th time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, MECOTEC GmbH from Saxony-Anhalt impressed in size class B (51 to 200 employees), particularly in the "Innovation Success" category.

On the occasion of the award, the CEO and founder of MECOTEC GmbH Enrico Klauer says: “Generating cold with temperatures below minus 60 degrees on an electrical basis is in the DNA of our company. When asked about the background, how he got to know the advantages of using a cold chamber, Dimitrij Ovtcharov says: “My former club, Fakel Orenburg, already ten years ago placed great value on whole-body cold therapy. I quickly noticed that regeneration and well-being improved greatly after training, and because I want to play successfully for many years to come, it is now all the more important to remain injury-free. The cryo:one will support me with this goal. I use the chamber immediately after every workout. It is pre-set in a way, that I go into the chamber twice a day for five minutes each session at minus 85 degrees Celsius.”

As soon as his tightly packed tournament schedule allows, Dima will also visit the newly founded MECOTEC China and inform his Chinese fans on site about his positive experiences with the cryo:one. "We are already looking forward to the upcoming tournaments where Dima will be at the start: the Table Tennis World Championships from May 20th in Durban, South Africa, and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. About Dimitrij Ovtcharov
Dimitrij Ovtcharov was born on September 2nd, 1988 in Kiev, the son of the multiple Soviet table tennis national player Mikhail and his mother Tatjana. His father started to shape his table tennis career at an early age and trained with him every day. Today, he is still his closest confidante, trainer and physiotherapist.

After moving to Germany in 1992, Dima devoted himself completely to table tennis and rose to the 1st Bundesliga with the TSV Schwalbe Tündern club. With his move to Borussia from Düsseldorf, Dima won the German championship with the club in 2008 and 2009, and in 2008 the silver medal with the team at the Olympic Games in Beijing. This was followed in 2009 by his first success abroad with the Belgian team Royal Villette Charleroi, with whom he finished second in the Champions League. From 2010 to 2021 he played for the Fakel Orenburg club. With him he achieved countless successes on the national and international stage. In 2021 Dima left Russia to make a new start at the TTC Neu-Ulm in 2022.

MECOTEC GmbH's appearance at FIBO was a complete success! At times it was almost impossible to get through in the corridors around the stand because so many interested people were waiting for information, advice and to test the products.
