MECOTEC GmbH develops and manufactures electric, nitrogen-free whole-body cryotherapy chambers, localized cold air devices and industrial deep-freeze and cold storage systems. Development and production are based in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany.
How is an electric cryotherapy chamber different from a nitrogen cryosauna?
MECOTEC chambers are cooled entirely electrically. No liquid nitrogen has to be delivered, stored or handled, and users stand in dry, cold, breathable air with the whole body, including the head, inside the chamber. Nitrogen cryosaunas, by contrast, cool the body with evaporated nitrogen while the head stays outside.
Which MECOTEC chamber is right for my business?
For 1–2 users per session there are the compact CORE SERIES (cryo:one, cryo:one⁺) and the high-performance NEO SERIES (1COOL with a real room temperature down to −100 °C, 2COOL down to −110 °C). What is the difference between real temperature and windchill temperature?
The real temperature is the measured air temperature inside the chamber. The windchill (perceived) temperature also takes air movement into account and is therefore lower. MECOTEC states both values; to compare chambers from different manufacturers, compare the real air temperature.
How much does a cryotherapy chamber cost?

Since when has MECOTEC existed?
MECOTEC GmbH was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany. Founder Enrico Klauer has worked in deep-cold and cryotherapy technology since 1993 and has been self-employed since 2000. Today MECOTEC works with offices and distribution partners worldwide (global presence).
Does MECOTEC handle installation, training and service?
Yes. MECOTEC supports customers with installation, operator training, maintenance and technical support for the entire life of the chamber. Details are on the support and service page.
